E Ink's Electronic Shelf Labels offer the same benefits as the displays we provide into the eReader market - paper-like display that are low powered, with a wide viewing angle.

Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL) offer retailers the ability to wirelessly update content on shelving signage quickly and efficiently, without the need to print paper tags or to deploy multiple employees to change them manually.

In addition to reducing staff needs to support price changes, ESL offers retailers the ability to update pricing as often as they want (dynamic pricing), while at the same time reducing pricing errors to customers. Now retailers can offer promotional pricing that responds to their customer traffic patterns (price optimization), or in response to an event, such as offering umbrellas at a promotional price as rain starts.

E Ink works with a number of partners to offer Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL) into the retail market. These tags are offered in varying sizes and resolutions to accomodate particular store needs.

Low Power Consumption

E Ink's ePaper displays are extremely low power, allowing retailers to use smaller batteries that last longer. Unlike other technologies, E Ink is bistable, which means it only uses power to update an image, not to maintain it.
